“To practice any art,
no matter how well or badly,
is a way to make your soul grow. So do it.”
― Kurt Vonnegut, A Man Without a Country

Everyone needs to practice to get better at a given task. This little painting was created for a friend. When I applied a sealing overcoat...all the paint I so carefully applied melted off. I was very upset and wiped away the mess. My little umber brown under-painting still looked great. I decided to just leave it as it was and give it away at this stage. My friend loved it. Sometimes things go wrong in the studio, but those experiences can be valuable lessons.
